Villa Maria Christina
This home was inspired by the great county estates of the past. Sited on five acres of horse pasture and surrounded by views of the southern Appalachian mountains; the house recalls the country villas of Andrea Palladio as well as the plantation homes of the deep south

This residence is located on a small lot fronting Watercolor's Rose Garden Mews. Exceptionally tall ceilings highlight the ground floor while the second-floor rooms are tucked under sloping ceilings within the roofline creating a cozy contrast to the spaces below

The goal of this project was to create a small, under 1,000 square feet, traditionally styled Southern raised cottage. The house features an open Kitchen-Living room with a vaulted ceiling to help enlarge the perception of space
